TrusTrace Marketing Executive Anja Sadock Named 2023 Women in Supply Chain Award Winner

STOCKHOLM, September 18, 2023 — TrusTrace, a global SaaS company with a market-leading platform for product traceability and compliance, today announced that Head of Marketing Anja Sadock has been recognized with a 2023 Women in Supply Chain Award.

The award, developed by leading global supply chain publication Supply & Demand Chain Executive in partnership with Food Logistics, honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. The win marks significant professional achievement and influence in an industry brimming with competitive leadership and innovation.

“This year, we received over 400 submissions, the highest amount of applications not only for this award, but also for all of our awards. What’s more, 118 of those applications were submitted by male counterparts, nominating their boss, co-worker or associate. Last year, that figure was just at 75. Also this year, 39 women self-nominated, a tremendous uptick from last year’s award, which just saw 12 self-nominations. This shows progress. This shows hope that one day, we won’t need an award like this because men and women in the supply chain will be equal,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “While there’s still more work to be done, what we’re doing is working. From truck drivers to CEOs, what these winners are doing matters to the future of all supply chains.”

Specifically, Sadock was recognized for her leadership in providing industry-wide education through data sharing and collaboration, with the goal of enabling supply chain excellence and ESG compliance within the fashion industry. Her work collaborating with some of the largest brands in the world to make supply chains traceable, circular, and fair set Sadock and TrusTrace apart from the competition.

All of us really believe in this vision, and are very passionate in working towards making it a reality,” Sadock said. “It’s an honor to have my work recognized by this prestigious award program highlighting women in supply chains that innovate and make a difference. Supply chains play a crucial role in mitigating our impending climate crisis, and we all need to do what we can to learn, educate, and adapt to be better.”

Sadock has been the driving force in developing TrusTrace’s two published industry guides. The first iteration, the Traceability Playbook, was published in June 2022, and the second iteration launched this year at the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen. Both outline the business case for implementing traceability and the wider considerations for brands, including government regulations, material innovation and the circular economy, while empowering organizations with the tools needed to identify their traceability needs, successfully implement the right solutions, and standardizing and scaling traceability efforts industry-wide. The Playbooks were produced in collaboration with major industry names such as Fashion Revolution and Fashion for Good, and include insights and case studies from numerous actors, including adidas, ASICS, and Tapestry. 

Most recently, TrusTrace announced its participation in the Trace4Value Digital Product Passport (DPP) project, enabling critical sustainability through transparency. Additional partners working on the DPP project include Marimekko, Kappahl, Elis, Swedish Institute for Standards (SIS), GS1 Sweden, TEXroad Foundation, Circularista, 2bPolicy, Trimco Group, Rudholm and Haak and Aalto University.
