TrusTrace in 2024
Another year full of highlights, learnings and things to celebrate. Join us as we take a look back at our achievements and progress with our mission in 2024.
New branding of TrusTrace
We kicked off 2024 by unveiling our new branding identity: TrusTrace, the New Standard of Traceability. It was a bold step forward that reflects our position as the market leading platform for managing supply chain risk, compliance and impact for fashion and textiles. The new look and feel emphasizes our commitment to enabling brands with the data to Know, Prove and Improve the impact of their value chains. It represents a more streamlined and sophisticated TrusTrace, designed to resonate with our partners and the industry ecosystem.
customer success: Tapestry & Primark
This year we welcomed new multinational fashion and footwear brands from the U.S. and EU markets to our customer base including Twinset in Italy. We also saw several customers sharing their success stories in how they leverage TrusTrace to manage supply chain risk, compliance and impact, and deliver on their sustainability goals.
Some stories to highlight:
- Tapestry showcasing their success and vision in this Forbes article
- Adolfo Dominguez shared insights on their alpaca traceability initiative
- Brooks Running detailed their supply chain due diligence efforts during an AAFA webinar, further demonstrating the flexibility and industry-wide impact of our platform
- Finally, we are the proud partner of Primark and their efforts on cotton traceability, and their progression to tracing other materials
DPP Playbook Launch & identifying 125 key data points for dpp
In May, we returned to the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen, where we followed the tradition of launching a playbook on how to better understand and prepare for an industry challenge. This year’s playbook, Unlocking DPP: The Why, What, and How of Digital Product Passports by Brooke Roberts-Islam, spotlighted Digital Product Passports. It features insights on the regulatory framework surrounding DPPs, and case studies from the Trace4Value project, where TrusTrace together with GS1 and other stakeholders enabled brands like Kappahl and Marimekko to test DPPs end-to-end. The Trace4Value project identified 125 key data points likely to shape future ESPR requirements, which were presented in this DPP data protocol.

Knowledge Sharing AT COP29, GFS, AAFA
TrusTrace maintained another year of strong presence on global panels at key industry events such as COP29, Global Fashion Summit, AAFA Conferences and EP Summit. We continue to drive the conversation on the critical role of digitalized traceability data in compliance and decarbonizing supply chains.
We expanded our platform capabilities and global reach and celebrated key milestones with the Traceability Leaders Dinners alongside AAFA and Textile Exchange events. These gatherings brought together innovators to envision the future of sustainable supply chains, strengthening collaboration with our customers and industry leaders while advancing meaningful, positive change.
Continuous Product Innovation
We continuously release significant updates to our platform, including the addition of more connected risk databases to our Forced Labor Prevention (FLP) solution, usability updates and launching a solution for Deforestation Compliance. This includes providing visibility into supply chains with dashboards, risk screening features and AI-powered chain of custody creation. These improvements ensure brands are streamlining how they conduct compliance processes, meet regulatory demands efficiently, and improve the impact of supply chains.
Tackling eudr & Partnership with OpenAtlas
In October, TrusTrace launched a deforestation solution to help fashion brands ensure and prove deforestation-free shipments ahead of EUDR enforcement. Our partnership with OpenAtlas allows us to offer real-time geospatial analysis into the TrusTrace platform, and this solution also features pre-formatted due diligence statements for streamlined compliance with EUDR. Together with this launch, we released additional resources to guide brands and operators on their journey including a Guide to the HS Codes within scope, and a EUDR self-assessment for readiness. Featured on CNN and World Economic Forum
Being featured on CNN’s Going Green segment (video link) was a proud milestone for TrusTrace this year, highlighting our role in transforming fashion supply chains with true data. The episode showcases how we empower brands to know, prove, and improve the impact of their value chains, alongside innovators like ASICS, Gabriela Hearst, Infinited Fiber Company and Piñatex.
Additionally, the World Economic Forum named us one of 13 startups shaping the circular economy by redefining data and traceability, plus a top innovator.
Giving Back with Rainwater Harvesting for Lasting Impact
Aligning to our core value: Drive Positive Impact Everywhere We Go, we are sponsoring rainwater harvesting setups for two government schools in Chinniampalayam, Coimbatore, India – an elementary and a high school where most students come from underprivileged families. These schools have struggled with waterlogging during heavy rains, making their premises unusable. Our initiative aligns with the core tenet of sustainability: leaving things better than we found them. Once complete, the setup will ensure students can move freely and no longer be limited by flooded grounds. Groundwater levels will be refilled, benefiting both the schools and the surrounding communities.
The work is still ongoing, but we will proudly share more updates in our Sustainability Report, coming in 2025.
